Collector

The PDF nobody opens becomes a process.

Upload a work instruction or a handbook — the Collector reads it and proposes the finished workflow: steps, roles, resources, requirements. Whatever already exists on your side it links to, instead of creating it a second time. Nothing is created until you say so.

Modeling

A finished process in just a few minutes.

Rather do it yourself? Drag an element, name it, connect it. The modeler does exactly as much as a workflow needs — and no more. Done in minutes.

Overview

Every workflow. Status, owners, version.

No more digging through Confluence pages, PDF graveyards and people’s heads. Every process has its place — found in a single breath.

AI expert

Documented is only the start.

The AI expert reads your process and points out where it stalls — missing ownership, steps without an approval gate, duplicate paths. Sorted into short, medium and long term. What you apply is your call.

Organization

Behind every process are people. See both here.

Roles, teams and responsibilities — linked to the workflows they carry. Onboarding, audits and handovers stop being a guessing game.

API & AI agents

Ask Claude or ChatGPT. They answer from ProcessCollector.

Connect your AI assistant to the open REST API with a Personal Access Token — and it knows your real processes: steps, owners, resources, approval status. Instead of guessing, it cites what’s actually in ProcessCollector. Your own AI agents use the very same endpoints, including AI-driven process optimization.

Who owns complaint handling, and is it approved yet?

GET /api/processes?q=complaint-handling

Complaint handling is still a draft (version 1), owned by Sales. Goods receipt is approved and live, version 3.

Honestly

What ProcessCollector is not built for.

Three things we deliberately don’t do. If one of them is your core need, you’re better off elsewhere — and we’ve both been spared the project.

  • Maximum BPMN depth

Formal modelling rigour, complete notation, process simulation — that is what classic BPM suites are built for. Here structure emerges along the way, not as a discipline.

  • Collecting processes out of your systems

What comes in is what you bring in: handbooks, SOPs, legacy exports. If the inventory should keep growing from Outlook, ServiceNow and the like, that is a step up — that is what ProcessMagnet does.

  • A document management system

We link documents where they are needed: at the step, at the process. They stay managed wherever they live today — in SharePoint, for instance.

Where exactly the line falls is spelled out in the direct comparisons

Before you decide

Take a proper look first.

No form in the way: the course runs in your browser, the comparisons are out in the open. If you start after that, you know what you are getting into.

Drop in an existing work instruction — the Collector reads out the workflow, spots roles and locations and links up whatever you already have.
