Safety certification passed on the first attempt
The balancing act between strict compliance requirements and the wish to truly improve processes — all under an ongoing audit obligation.
Starting point
In rail transport, compliance isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s a prerequisite for operating at all. The challenge: meet regulatory requirements without process work degenerating into a pure box-ticking exercise.
Approach
With an integrated management system, the safety-relevant processes were mapped cleanly, linked and kept verifiable — so that they carry weight in daily work and hold up under audit alike.
Outcome
The certification of the safety management system by the German Federal Railway Authority was completed successfully — the proof fell out of the ongoing, maintained process work as a by-product.
“By adopting aiio, HVLE successfully completed the certification of its safety management system by the German Federal Railway Authority.”
